Built on the Belief That Business Can Change Lives

We understand and believe that the backbone of Jamaica was built on the blood, sweat and tears of hard-working small and medium-sized business owners, committed to achieving their company vision and a more abundant life.

MWC Associates Ltd. was founded in 2007 by its CEO, Marcia Woon Choy, a former corporate and commercial banker, who saw a need for an integrated approach to the development of the business sector — because financing alone would not cause businesses to thrive and achieve sustainable growth.

In April 2010, MWC Associates commenced operating the first single-unit franchise of ActionCOACH — the World's Leading Business and Executive Coaching firm — in Jamaica. By 2014, the Company acquired the exclusive rights to operate with multiple business coaching licences for ActionCOACH across Jamaica.

Marcia Woon Choy

CEO, MWC Associates Limited

Marcia Woon Choy is a former corporate and commercial banker who recognised that financing alone was not enough to help businesses truly thrive. Her passion for building the capacity of business owners and leaders led her to establish MWC Associates Ltd. in 2007.

"Her focus is on building the capacity of business owners and leaders to effectively build, grow and lead their companies — to achieve sustainable growth, abundance and success for a more abundant Jamaica."

The vision of ActionCOACH International — "World abundance through business re-education" — resonated deeply with Marcia, inspiring her to bring the first ActionCOACH franchise to Jamaica. Today, MWC Associates is the exclusive ActionCOACH franchise holder for Jamaica, coaching business owners across all industries to take their business from good, to great.

Marcia is the CEO of the ActionCOACH Jamaica Firm since 2010. A Master COACH and Global Trainer, she has been consistently ranked in the Top 100 coaches. Her career spans airline management with Air Jamaica, 15 years at Citigroup Jamaica rising to Vice President, and founding MWC Associates Ltd. in 2007. She is a Director of the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce, Vice-Chairman of the ActionCOACH Global Foundation, and a Maxwell Leadership Team Speaker, Trainer, and Coach.

Director

Christine began her career as an Auditor at KPMG in Miami and continued as Audit Manager at KPMG Jamaica, specialising in Banking and Financial sector audits. She brings rigorous financial oversight and governance expertise to the MWC Associates board.

Sonia Sykes
Sonia Sykes
Company Secretary

Sonia Sykes serves on the board of MWC Associates Ltd. as its Company Secretary. A graduate of the University of the West Indies, she holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours in Economics and Management Studies. She gained extensive experience in Marketing and Advertising with Paisley Kelly Advertising before assuming the post of Marketing Manager at Jamaica Property Company Ltd. — the real estate arm of the Pan Jam Group — in 1991, where she has served for over 20 years. In her current role, Sonia is responsible for the leasing of all office and retail spaces in the company's portfolio, comprising buildings owned by the company or managed on behalf of other property owners.
